Shallowford Kroger Sells $206K Lottery Ticket
An East Cobb woman gets a special Mother's Day gift from her husband.
Kroger is always busy the morning of Mother's Day as men buy last-minute cards and flowers for their wives.
Blakely Wolf did a little bit better than a dozen roses, even if she did have to wait an extra day.
The 49-year-old East Cobb woman's husband this morning gave her a Fantasy 5 ticket that matched all five numbers from Sunday's drawing: 3-23-26-29-38.
The ticket is good for a $206,502 jackpot, which the mother of a 9-year-old boy cashed in today in Atlanta.
“My husband called me into the living room this morning and told me,” Wolf said, according to a Georgia Lottery press release. “We were flabbergasted.”
Her husband bought the Quik Pik ticket at Kroger on Shallowford Road in Northeast Cobb.
“I just never thought it would be possible,” Wolf said. “It’s cool.”
She said she plans to take a vacation and pay off bills with her jackpot.
