A Burger King restaurant on Sandy Plains Road was robbed Thursday night and Cobb Police are looking for the man wanted in connection with the incident.

Cobb Police spokesman Officer Michael Bowman said in a release that the suspect is a male, race unknown, and was wearing all black clothing and a mask to hide his face.

Bowman said the suspect entered the restaurant, located at 2716 Sandy Plains Road -- between East Piedmont Road and Post Oak Tritt Road -- around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

He demanded money from the registers and the store safe and fled the scene after a few minutes in an unknown direction with an unknown amount of cash, Bowman said.
