Salmonella Outbreak Strikes Cobb
Sushi is a possible source of the bacteria across the South and East.
Cobb County has been hit by a salmonella outbreak that has sickened 93 people in 19 states and the District of Columbia.
Ten of the 93 victims identified between Jan. 28 and March 23 had to be hospitalized; no one has died.
One possible link to the outbreak is sushi, particularly spicy tuna rolls, the CDC says, although its investigation continues.
Reports of the illness can take a month to reach the federal investigators.
