Relaxing Bites at the Café de Paris
This popular Johnson Ferry Road establishment helps you escape the bustle of East Cobb.
The Café de Paris is a pleasant, relaxing find off the hustle and bustle of Johnson Ferry Road. Tucked away in the Woodlawn Commons Shopping Center, Café de Paris is attached to the European style home décor store C’est Moi.
There is indoor and outdoor seating at this cafe, so I chose to sit outside since I had my dog Jasper with me.
Service: The service was polite and fast. I was there for breakfast, and my meal came out about 10 minutes after I ordered. Once I had my meal, the staff didn't come back to my table to check on me, but it's a cafe so that's what I expected.
Food: The Café de Paris serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast menu includes Waffles, Eggs, French Toast and Croissant Sandwiches.
The Western Omelette is made of three eggs with tomatoes, onions, peppers, bacon, potatoes and Pepper Jack cheese topped with two slices of American cheese sitting in a spicy tomato sauce. The omelette is served with healthnut toast. The item is $8.25. I was intrigued by the preparation of this Western Omelette. The American cheese laid on top nicely offset the spicy salsa-like tomato sauce that filled the bottom of the plate. The slight problem here was that the sauce made the omelette a little watery; however, this was easily ignored. The omelette was generously packed with ingredients, especially shredded bacon and potatoes, both of which had a strong taste. Overall this spicy omelette left me satisfied.
The lunch menu has soups, sandwiches, salads, quiche, crepes and quesadillas. The selection of sandwiches includes chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad, grilled veggies, BLT, Paris ham baguette, chicken salad melt, tuna melt, turkey melt, California chicken, classic reuben, chicken pesto pita, hot pastrami and more. There is also a wide selection of salads: garden, greek, caesar, steak, grilled veggies, crab cake, shrimp greek, chicken greek, fruit, tuna, egg and more.
The dinner menu contains items such as crab cake, salad, soup, steak, salmon, chicken, pastas, crepes and quiche.
The desert and pastries menu includes creme brulee, cakes, fudge, crepes and more.
There is also a gourmet coffee menu, which includes the standard cappuccino, latte, espresso, mocha, macchiato, hot chocolate, tea and of course coffee. The latte ($3.35) was a fair-sized serving, and I had no complaints.
The cafe also has a nice selection of wine.
Bottom Line: Café de Paris has a descent selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner foods. The cafe is a good restaurant to escape the rush of the area and relax with a nice coffee drink or glass of wine.
