Sprayberry Alumnus, Pro Wrestler Wrecks Car

A seizure may have caused professional wrestler and former Sprayberry High School football player Marcus "Buff" Bagwell to wreck his car Monday in Woodstock, according to a Woodstock police report.

Pro wrestler Marcus “Buff” Bagwell told his wife on the phone he was about to have a seizure before he flipped his vehicle several times in Towne Lake Monday afternoon.

Bagwell remained sedated in intensive care with several broken bones in his neck, face and jaw two days after the wreck, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The Cherokee Tribune reported the 42-year-old Woodstock resident lost control of his 2005 Jeep Wrangler on Buckhead Crossing at approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Bagwell scrubbed the curve for several hundred feet before making a sharp left-hand turn which caused his Jeep to spin across the raised median and eventually rolling over, according to the police reports.

Bagwell opened his eyes briefly Wednesday and moved his hands and feet, but the extent of his injuries is still not known, the AJC said. The wrestler may undergo surgery by the end of the week.
