Northeast Cobb Students Awarded in PTA Reflections Program

National PTA has been honoring students’ artistic achievements through the Reflections Program since 1969.

Victoria Everhart of Kell High School placed second in the Reflections Program Dance Choreography Awards for Tenth Grade.

The PTA Reflections Program is designed to enhance quality arts education for students in pre-school through 12 grade, encouraging them to create works of art in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts.

Thousands of students in Georgia participate through their local PTAs each year. Each state is allowed to submit four entries in each of the arts area to the national level of judging--one entry for each grade division. That is a total of only 24 entries from Georgia. 

The National PTA Reflections Program challenges students to create artwork inspired by a specific theme. Themes are selected from hundreds of ideas submitted by students.

The Reflections Reception held at the High Museum of Art-Woodruff Arts Center on March 25 awarded the students artistic achievements for the theme 'Diversity Means…"
