The Cobb County Board of Education tonight will recognize the Kell boys track and field team for winning the Georgia High School Association AAAA championship May 12.
The school board holds its regular meeting at 7 tonight.
Also on the agenda among Northeast Cobb schools is Kincaid Elementary. It is one of five schools whose construction projects are being officially closed out tonight because the work is done and all the bills have been paid.
The Cobb school board is due to approve a series of resolutions for those projects as part of its consent agenda.
Each closeout resolution allows the Cobb County School District to apply for reimbursement from state capital outlay funds.
The Cobb school system usually gets 70 percent to 80 percent of the Georgia capital money it applies for, Deputy Superintendent Chris Ragsdale said during the school board’s work session May 9.
The meeting will be held at the district’s Central Office, 514 Glover St., Marietta. You also can watch the meeting streaming live on Northeast Cobb Patch.
