It's an unusually light Monday for Northeast Cobb high school sports. Only one team from one school is in action tonight. 

The JV Lady Trojans Fastpitch Softball team of Lassiter High School will take the diamond against local rivals Pope High School at 7 p.m. on their home field.

The Lady Trojans are having a strong season, with only one loss in their first eight games. With victories by scores of 9-1 and 10-0, the Lady Trojans combine strong defense with power at the plate.

This is the final game of the season for the Lady Greyhounds of Pope, who opened their campaign on Aug. 14 against Harrison High School.

The Lady Trojans have three more games left this season after tonight.
