The Place Bar and Grill's New Year's Eve party draws a crowd from college-aged partygoers to the middle-aged. Cover charge is $20. There will be party favors. You can buy tickets ahead of time so that you aren't waiting in line at the door on New Year's Eve. The optional dinner featuring prime rib is an additional $20. The DJ offers a mix of dance music from disco to modern. The Place is located at 700 Sandy Plains Rd.
Red Sky Tapas and Bar will bring in 2012 with dueling pianos, menu specials, party hats, noisemakers, and a champagne toast at midnight. Reservation required. Red Sky is located at 1255 Johnson Ferry Road, Suite 16.
Paradise Grill will have live music at the bar and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. They will be serving from the regular menu. There is no cover charge. Paradise Grill is located at 3605 Sandy Plains Rd.
Bradley's Bar and Grill is going to rock party-goers into the New Year with live music. They are offering $2 domestic beers for this special occasion. Bradley's is located at 4961 Lower Roswell Road._
Jimmy Mac's Food and Spirits will have a party complete with party favors, free champagne, the live band Pretty Twisted, and a New Year's toast. Jimmy Mac's is located at 3205 Canton Road, Suite 105.
Brewster’s Neighborhood Grille offers a prime rib special for New Year's Eve. Party from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with no cover charge. Live music performance by Jeff Robinson and the Barry Richman band. Brewster's is located at 3595 Canton Road.
Suburban Tap Tavern and Grille is featuring DJ B.O.B.'s Dance Party and drink specials. The fun includes 28 taps with 100+ bottles, 20 televisions, video games and dart lanes. Suburban Tap is located at 1318 Johnson Ferry Road.
Wild Wing Cafe is having a New Years Eve Bash with Flux Capacitor. Shooter specials, yards of beer, Absolut pitchers, champagne toast, free lei's and more. No cover. Wild Wings Cafe is located at 2145 Roswell Road.
Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church and The Kolokotronis-Peloponnesian Society invite you to the New Year's Eve Dance Protohroniatiko Glenti. _Esperinos–Vespers at 8:30 p.m. followed by the Dinner Dance at 9:30 p.m. Traditional Greek cooking. Buffet style dinner. Cash bar. Live traditional Greek music. Proceeds will be used to support Church Ministries. Adults: $30; Children under 18 years: $15; under 5 years: free. Unity North Atlanta Church is hosting a Burning Bowl Service at 6:30 p.m. The New Years Eve dance 8 p.m.-1 a.m in the Holy Grounds Cafe. Advance ticket $15 or pay $20 at the door. Wild Wing Cafe, Suburban Tap, and Paradise Grill, are sponsors for Metro American Safe Drivers, which is providing free rides home for patrons. The driver service also provides a second driver to take the driver's car home safely as well.
Metro American Safe Drivers service hours are 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. everyday, 770-507-3332. Using this service from a participating sponsor location is free of charge to the customer. Rates for this service from a non-participating location are $20 for the first 10 miles and $3 for each additional mile and include a second driver for your car.
SafeRide America's rates are $15 pick up fee plus $3 per mile. No charge for extra passengers. You can become a member for $50 per year and pay only $10 pick-up plus $2.50 per mile. Service is available 24 hours by calling 404-888-0887.
"SafeRide America serves the entire metro Atlanta area seven nights a week from 6 p.m.-4 a.m. Reservations are required for New Year's Eve," Michael Rhyne, Executive Director of SafeRide America told Northeast Cobb Patch in a statement. "SafeRide America is a nonprofit and all proceeds from paid service goes to help expand the program locally and to help children that have been orphaned or injured by impaired driving crashes."
Cobb County Designated Driver, 404-918-5692, is available for pick-ups anytime from anywhere in Cobb County, with advance reservations. This service also provides two drivers to get you and your car home safely. Rates are $20 for the first 12 miles with a $3 charge for each additional mile thereafter. Tips are appreciated.
