Easy Hidden Veggie Smoothies

Trick your kids into enjoying their vegetables.

Parents are sometimes left with the quandary of how to get their kids to eat enough vegetables.

Try hiding them in an easy to make fruit/veggie smoothie!

Broccoli Blueberry Smoothie

Combine:

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup steamed broccoli
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt

Blend ingredients until smooth.

Try making the smoothie for dessert with your leftover broccoli from dinner. The frozen berries make the smoothie extra cool and add great texture.

Substitute with raspberries or strawberries instead of blueberries.

Green Slime Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 Banana, cut in chunks
  • ½ Apple, cored and chopped or sliced
  • 1 cup White Grapes
  • 1 cup Fat-Free Vanilla Yogurt (or Plain Yogurt and ¼ teaspoon vanilla)
  • 1-2 cups fresh Spinach Leaves

Also try making the smoothie with frozen grapes and frozen banana chunks.

Try taking any of your kids favorite smoothies and add a handful of spinach for extra nutrition or add steamed broccoli if you don't want an obvious green color in the drinks.

Super Simple Veggie Shake

  • Water
  • Fruit
  • Veggies

Simply blend together a handful of fruit, a handful of veggies and some water. It's that easy!
