Birrell Town-Hall Meeting Today

The District 3 county commissioner will face the public at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

District 3 Cobb County Commissioner JoAnn Birrell will offer updates and answer questions during her quarterly town-hall meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Mountain View Regional Library.

Her last town-hall meeting previewed some issues that soon followed—the rezoning for the planned Movie Tavern, the new subdivision at Holly Springs and Post Oak Tritt roads, the upcoming roundabout at Holly Springs and Davis roads—and featured at least one surprise, an extended discussion of coyotes.

You can count on a good turnout of county government leaders at Birrell's meetings, and, with candidate qualifying only two weeks away, you'll surely have a chance to put faces to many of the names you'll see on the ballot July 31.

Northeast Cobb Patch will be there, so you can look for highlights here Thursday. And if you're at the meeting, feel free to say hello, offer your thoughts on Patch and ask about how you can become one of our Local Voices.
