Summer Readers of Any Age Can Win iPad 2

The Cobb Public Library System staff has launching its 2012 Summer Reading Program with the theme "Dream Big — READ!" and dreamers of all ages are invited to participate.

For reading books and submitting book reviews, readers of any age will be entered to win a Sony eReader, courtesy of OverDrive or an iPad 2, courtesy of Cobb EMC.

The program began June 1 and ends July 31, with an end-of-summer reading celebration Saturday, August 4.

Children from birth to fifth grade may register to participate in the program at any Cobb County library, like the South Cobb Regional Library.

During registration, readers will receive folders to log the books they have read.

The library has partnered with Stevi B's to offer free pizza to the first 5,000 children who bring their folder back to the library. The coupons expire July 31st, so bring your child and their reading log in for a mid-term checkup after July 4 to pick up their pizza coupon.

Young adults in grades 6-12 are encouraged to submit book reviews, which can be submitted online here.

Adults can also submit book reviews and be in the running for a free iPad 2.

Get all of the details about the Summer Reading Program, including how to register for the prizes, at www.cobbcat.org/srp. Participation is free and open to the public.

Don't forget the Think Big! Save for College Sweepstakes, where you can win a $5,529 scholarship for your child.
